Mythbusters: Separating Fact from Fiction in Pain Management

Pain Management

Join St Vincent's Private Hospital Brisbane for an invaluable journey into the complexities of pain management. Low back pain is a very common problem with approximately 80% of Australians suffering from back pain during their lifetime. Only about 40% of those with back pain will seek medical advice and around 10% of those patients will have significant disability, with a proportion of these attending the Emergency Department (ED).

In General Practice, the management of both acute and chronic pain is of paramount importance due to the frequency of these conditions and their impact on patient well-being. This educational activity will support GPs in identifying and providing effective, evidence-based care for their patients living with chronic back pain.
