Oncology Symposium - Colorectal, Liver & Gastrointestinal Cancer Session

Bowel, liver and gastrointestinal cancers are common malignancies that general practitioners encounter. GPs play a key role in early detection, diagnosis, and management. 

This session of the Oncology Symposium will support GPs to identify key indicators and symptoms of bowel, liver and gastrointestinal cancers and provide effective, evidence-based care for their patients.

Learning Outcomes:


  • Identify the key indicators and mild symptoms of colorectal cancer in younger patients.
  • Assess the appropriate management strategies for young patients presenting with bowel symptoms or PR bleeding. 
  • Identify the key symptoms of liver, pancreas, and oesophageal cancers, including back and abdominal pain.
  • Describe the available treatment options for liver, pancreas, and oesophageal cancers.
