Biography
Dr Michael Gattas graduated from Sydney University in 1986. He has been a Consultant Clinical Geneticist with the Genetics Health Queensland since 1996.
He established a successful private practice in 2004, and this is based at the Greenslopes Private Hospital in Brisbane. He has an interest in all aspects of genetics, but most of his private work is with patients with a family history of cancer.
Much of the clinical gene testing he performs uses saliva samples that are shipped overseas for analysis, but these days more clinical gene testing is being funded by Medicare which is a good thing.
