TMS for Depression

There is strong evidence to support the effectiveness of TMS for treatment-resistant Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).

TMS has been TGA-approved for MDD since 2019 and Medicare-approved in Australia since 2021, under certain eligibility criteria.

Bulk billing for Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD)

TMS for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Uspace is pleased to be able to offer TMS for patients with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, as part of our new OCD Program.

Why MRI-Guidance?

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) brain scans are used to locate the precise brain region that has been shown by research to respond best to treatment. Each mental disorder has its own specific brain region. VisionTMS uses advanced neuronavigation equipment, including a 3D camera, to optimally position the magnet. That’s because evidence suggests that the more precise the positioning of the magnet on the patient’s scalp, the better the likely outcome of the treatment. 

A non-invasive neuronavigation 3D-tracking camera is used by our team of psychiatrists and radiographers to position the magnetic coil on the patient’s scalp.
