Biography
A/Prof Lih-Ming is a urologist consulting at St Vincent’s Private Hospital, East Melbourne and Fitzroy campuses. He conducts honest and open dialogue to ensure people fully understand the options available to them and the reasons for his recommended approach to achieve optimal results.
A/Prof Wong has a sub-specialty interest and extensive training in cancers of the urinary tract (uro-oncology). He also manages lower urinary tract symptoms and urinary tract stones. For men with benign prostate enlargement (BPH) he employs the UroLift®procedure and GreenLight™ laser prostate vaporisation.A/Prof Wong graduated from the University of Melbourne and completed his urology training in Victoria in 2009. He received international training in uro-oncology in the UK and Canada, spending a year in Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge, and two years at Princess Margaret Hospital Toronto, where he gained experience in robot-assisted surgery, cystectomy, retroperitoneal lymph node dissection and the management of people with complex urological cancers.
A/Prof Wong is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at St Vincent’s where he supervises postgraduate students and is involved in undergraduate teaching and mentoring. He has presented papers at international conferences and has published many peer reviewed articles.
