Biography

Dr Adrian C.H. Low is a consultant geriatrician and general physician who is passionate about the health of the older person in hospitals and the community.

He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2004 and completed his internship at St Vincent’s Health Melbourne. He subsequently completed his basic physician and geriatric medicine advanced training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Melbourne Health, and at Western Health in 2013 as a Fellow in Geriatric Medicine and Continence Fellow. He subsequently completed his Master of Medicine in Perioperative Medicine with Monash University in 2022. He has also previously completed the Certificate in Clinical Governance for Patient Safety and Quality Care with the Australasian Institute for Clinical Governance in 2020.
 
He holds a substantial public hospital position at Barwon Health since 2014 as a consultant geriatrician and general physician in the general medicine unit. He is also a continence physician at the McKellar Centre Continence Service. He was appointed as interim Director of Geriatric Medicine in February 2023.
 
He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine (ANZSGM). He served as the ANZSGM Victorian Division committee member and honorary treasurer from 2016 to 2021. He is also an Affiliated Senior Lecturer with Deakin University.
