Biography

Dr Daniel Cohen is an Australian-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in hip, knee and trauma surgery.

After obtaining his degree in Medicine from the University of Sydney, Dr. Cohen went on to complete his Orthopaedic Surgical Training with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He then completed further subspecialist training in primary and revision joint replacement at the University of Toronto managing especially complex problems in joint replacement surgery. In addition, Dr. Cohen spent time working with internationally renowned, high volume knee ligament reconstruction specialists at the forefront of managing multi-ligament knee injuries and knee dislocations.  On return to Australia, Daniel was awarded and completed the second ever Travelling Robotics Fellowship in NSW.  

Daniel is uniquely fellowship-trained in minimally invasive approaches and robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery. He embraces the use of the latest evidence-based technology in his surgical practice and employs advanced contemporary techniques to consistently ensure optimal patient outcomes, recovery, and functionality.

Aside from his commitment to excellence in surgical practice and modernised patient care, Daniel is known for his communication skills and personable nature. He believes in a personalised, patient-centred, shared decision-making model where his patients are educated and empowered to contribute to their own management journey.
