Biography

Dr David Saltissi is a highly accomplished medical professional with a wealth of experience in Nephrology and General Internal Medicine.

He earned his undergraduate medical degree from King’s College in London, UK, and completed his training at King’s College Hospital in 1971.

Dr David Saltissi achieved UK Specialist accreditation in Nephrology & General Internal Medicine in 1980, and upon immigrating to Australia in May 1990, continued his professional journey as a Staff Renal Physician at the Royal Brisbane Hospital until May 1994. He then assumed the role of Director of Renal Medicine until January 2002, after which he transitioned to private practice.

As a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London and a Member of the International Society of Nephrology and the Australian & New Zealand Society of Nephrology, Dr David Saltissi has demonstrated his commitment to excellence in the field. With a vast international experience in treating kidney disorders, including service in the UK RAF Medical Branch, Dr David Saltissi has authored over 50 peer-reviewed medical publications. His specific interests include the effects of drugs and toxins on the kidney, uraemic anaemia, hypertension, diabetes and kidney disease, and uraemic bone disease.
