Biography

Dr Ebony Wong is an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Mater Hospital, North Sydney.

Ebony is an obstetrician and gynaecologist in both public and private practice. She is interested in caring for women and their families with an attentive, supportive and compassionate approach. She whole-heartedly believes in a team-approach to patient management and will engage all her resources to meet women’s needs and expectations. 

Ebony grew up on the North Shore receiving her medical degree with honours at the University of Sydney, where she was also awarded a Masters in Reproductive Health and Human Genetics. Throughout her training she concentrated on developing and strengthening her skills in high-risk obstetrics and intrapartum care, giving her the ability to manage a woman’s pregnancy competently and completely. During Ebony’s fellowship, she was the Senior Registrar in obstetrics and gynaecology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) and consolidated her interest in fertility completing a clinical year in reproductive endocrine and infertility medicine. 

Ebony is currently a staff specialist at RPAH. She jointly runs the preterm birth and shortened cervix clinic as well as undertaking consultant responsibilities for one of Sydney’s busiest maternity services. Ebony is avidly involved in supporting and training junior doctors and has ongoing research activities.
