Biography
Dr Hugh McGregor is a general surgeon with interests in advanced laparoscopic procedures and breast cancer. He has particular expertise in HAL-RAR and TST procedures for the treatment of haemorrhoids.
Dr Hugh McGregor is a general surgeon with a clinical interest in advanced laparoscopic procedures and breast cancer care. He has particular expertise in performing HAL-RAR and the tissue selecting technique (TST) for haemorrhoid surgeries, and is also accredited by the Gastroenterological Society of Australia in colonoscopy and upper endoscopy.Hugh graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with first class honours in 2000. He received training across rural and regional Queensland and completed his specialist general surgical training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in 2008, gaining extensive experience in paediatric, vascular, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, bariatric, breast, endocrine, and colorectal surgery.
Since 2009, Hugh has consulted in hospitals across Brisbane and performs the highest volume of hernia surgeries in the city.
