Biography

Dr John Swieca is a respiratory physician consulting at St Vincent’s Private Hospitals. He is committed to helping people achieve healthy sleep to attain a better quality of life.

Dr Swieca is a highly experienced respiratory physician with a wide range of expertise in the management of complex multi-factorial sleep disorders. He employs a range of treatment strategies for sleep apnoea, insomnia, restless legs syndrome, parasomnias and narcolepsy.

John has been the medical director of the Melbourne Sleep Disorders Centre since returning from a sleep disorders fellowship at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles in 1994. He is a principal investigator in a range of clinical research trials.
