Biography
Dr Kate Stringer is a breast and endocrine surgeon specialising in breast cancer procedures and risk assessments, benign breast disease, and complex thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
Dr Kate Stringer is a breast and endocrine surgeon specialising in breast cancer including oncoplastics, assessment of breast cancer risk and familial breast cancer, benign breast disease, and complex thyroid and parathyroid surgery including minimally-invasive parathyroidectomy.After graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Kate went on to complete her specialist general surgical training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2006. Pursuing her interest in breast and thyroid cancer, she undertook a subspecialty fellowship, gaining experience in breast cancer treatment and complex thyroid and parathyroid procedures.
Outside of her clinical practice, Kate is actively involved in academics. She’s published a number of research articles, and holds appointments as Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, and Clinical Tutor at both Bond and Griffith Universities.
