Biography

Dr Kumanan Nalankilli is a specialist Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist

Kumanan is a Melbourne-based Consultant Gastroenterologist and Advanced Interventional Endoscopist.

He is the Deputy head of unit of Endoscopy at Western health and is also a Consultant at Northern Health. Kumanan is highly trained in all aspects of Gastroenterology, having completed advanced training at major tertiary centres including Western Health and the Alfred Hospital. Subsequently, he completed three further fellowship years in advanced endoscopy after becoming a Gastroenterology specialist. Kumanan has academic interests in quality in endoscopy and holds a Master of Medicine research degree in this field.

Kumanan is highly patient-focussed and passionate about quality and timely Gastroenterology care, close to home, for the expanding populations of Western and North West Melbourne. He believes in working collaboratively with patients and multi-disciplinary colleagues to facilitate evidence-based care and best outcomes. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling and spending time with his young children.
