Biography

Dr Michele Batey is an obstetrician and gynaecologist who is passionate about delivering a holistic, positive and collaborative birthing experience to both the mother and partner.

Dr Michele Batey consistently aims to involve the pregnant mother and partner in all decisions surrounding their pregnancy and birth in order to maximise their satisfaction with their birth experience. She has particular interest in medical disorders that occur in pregnancy as well as treatment of abnormal Pap smears and infertility.

Michele graduated in medicine from the University of Sydney and completed her obstetrics and gynaecology training at Royal North Shore Hospital. Her final year of training was in an advanced pelvic surgery fellowship at North Shore Private Hospital. She also has a Masters of Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Sydney. Michele places a particular focus on the role of nutrition and exercise in pregnancy.
