Biography

Dr Prue Standen is passionate about providing high quality, patient centred care to the women of Western Melbourne and has an interest in all facets of women’s health. She enjoys the continuity that comes with providing care to women for preconception and antenatal, postnatal care and gynaecology and believes that it is a privilege to be a part of this exciting time in people’s lives.

Prue has worked in Tertiary centres in Perth and Melbourne and has an interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with skills in preconception care, antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal obstetric care, as well as family planning, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy and pelvic floor dysfunction.

She graduated from Flinders University in 2010 and moved to Perth, where she lived for eight years before moving to Melbourne. Prue undertook specialist training at King Edward Memorial Hospital before moving to Melbourne to complete advanced training in obstetric care, pelvic floor disorders and minimally invasive surgery.
