Biography

Supriya completed her medical degree in 2010 from Monash University and has gained experience working in public sector in different regional and city hospitals across the state. She gained her specialist qualification from Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2019.

She is a Geriatrician who currently works locally in Werribee Mercy Hospital across inpatients and community services. She also leads the Continence Service (and Urodynamics) and Complex Geriatric Service in Ballarat. She regularly teaches and supervises medical students, junior doctors, and geriatric advance trainees.
 
Supriya enjoys providing comprehensive geriatric assessments and getting to know her patients, to maximize her patient-centered approach towards improving their health and well-being. Her friendly approach and emphasis on clear communication has often helped older adults feel at ease.
 
After completing her geriatric specialist training, Supriya undertook a year of clinical forensic medicine work in the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine and proceeded to completing the Masters of Forensic Medicine from Monash University. She has an interest in complex case management and the medico-legal interface of ageing, including elder abuse
