Biography

Dr Ujwala Parashar is an obstetrician and gynaecologist who combines an exceptional level of expertise in her chosen fields with a natural compassion and understanding of her patients’ needs.

Dr Parashar is a specialist gynaecologist and obstetrician in Sydney with over 10 years’ of experience as a medical practitioner. She studied medicine in Bulgaria and then moved to Australia to pursue her specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology. During her fellowship years, she had the opportunity to work in an extremely busy hospital setting managing complex obstetric patients and helping women with incontinence and prolapse issues.

Ujwala has currently completed two research projects in urogynaecology and continues to participate in medical student teaching which helps her to stay at the forefront of the latest evidence-based practice.

Dr Parashar was born in India. With both parents being doctors, she wanted to pursue a career in medicine from a young age. She moved to Australia with her husband and followed her dream of providing the best possible care to women and their families.
