Biography

Mr Ray (Ying Ruey) Yong is a general surgeon performing breast, endocrine and general surgical procedures. He has a special interest in treating breast pain, breast lumps and cancers.

Mr Yong provides a comprehensive triple test assessment, counselling and education for breast cancer patients and also provides expertise in thyroid (goitre) and parathyroid surgeries.

Ray also routinely performs laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, skin cancer and melanoma surgery, carpal tunnel release, Dupuytren’s contracture release, vasectomy, haemorrhoidal surgery and endoscopy and coloscopy.

Ray received a scholarship to study at The University of Melbourne Medical School and subsequently trained at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Austin Hospital.
