Biography

Dr Richard Barton is a Melbourne-based plastic surgeon with a specific interest in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. Richard provides high quality state-of-the-art treatment in a friendly and relaxed manner.

Dr Barton performs breast surgery, body contouring surgery, hand surgery and provides the full spectrum of surgical skin cancer treatment.

He holds dual international fellowships in microsurgical reconstruction and adult craniomaxillofacial surgery, including rhinoplasty and facial aesthetic surgery.

Richard graduated from medicine in 1998 and undertook a further 11 years training prior to his recognition as a specialist plastic surgeon. This included time spent working in UK at Oxford University Hospitals and then at the Vancouver General Hospital, Canada where he gained further experience in head and neck, breast, sarcoma reconstruction and hand surgery.
