Biography

Mr Shane Blackmore is a locally trained orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in New York and London specialising in the surgical treatment of sports knee injuries.

Shane performs a large number of knee reconstructions, including ACL reconstructions, as well as other arthroscopic surgeries, including meniscal repairs and cartilage procedures. He has a particular interest in complex knee injuries. 

Shane is founding director of Stronger Melbourne which specialises in the pre-operative and post-operative management of ACL injuries. The dedicated therapy team at Stronger provide the full spectrum of care for your knee injury. This is includes performance and return to sport testing for ACL injuries.
