Biography

Mr Shav Rupasinghe is an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand surgery.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Completing his orthopaedic training in New Zealand, he achieved his Fellowship at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2018. Subsequently, he pursued three years of sub-specialty training in Sports Surgery in Bristol UK, Upper Limb Surgery at Wrightington, and Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist, and Hand Surgery at the Hand and Upper Limb Centre in London Ontario (Western University).
 
Shav also holds a public appointment at Mercy Hospital Werribee, where he treats a range of upper limb conditions and trauma.
 
As a highly skilled upper limb surgeon, Mr. Rupasinghe specializes in arthroscopic and open surgeries for rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, elbow arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and other common upper extremity injuries and conditions. Additionally, he performs joint replacements for the shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist.
