Biography
Mr Tim Price is an ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeon providing comprehensive treatment for adult and paediatric ear, nose and throat problems as well as surgical removal of skin lesions with local skin flap repairs.
Tim has developed a special interest in adult and paediatric ear surgery, particularly in mastoid revision and reconstruction surgery, and is one of a very few ENT surgeons conducting a surgical procedure to obliterate troublesome mastoid cavities and rebuild the ear canal using a prosthetic material (hydroxyapatite granules) and cartilage. He also performs surgery to reconstruct the hearing mechanism using titanium implants as well as stapedectomy surgery for otosclerosis.Tim qualified at Grooteschuur Hospital, Cape Town in 1993. He then undertook specialist training in ENT Surgery in the UK.He is involved in teaching undergraduate medical students and post graduate ENT registrars at the University of Melbourne
