Biography
Prof Ross Crawford is an internationally respected orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery.
He is committed to finding treatment solutions for his patients that maximise function and improve quality of life.
Ross graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. After concluding his specialist orthopaedics training, he pursued his interest in primary and revision hip and knee replacement by undertaking a 4-year fellowship at Oxford and Exeter in the UK. He subsequently completed a Doctorate of Philosophy investigating focal and femoral osteolysis in cemented total hip replacement at Oxford University in 2000, before returning to Brisbane.
Outside of private practice, Ross routinely lectures nationally and internationally on hip and knee replacements, sits on a number of committees for professional orthopaedic associations, and holds the appointment of Professor of Orthopaedic Research at the Queensland University of Technology.
