St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Fitzroy has essential safeguards in place to ensure the safety of our patients and staff, these safeguards include important changes to hospital visitation. The following restrictions are now in place due to the current COVID-19 situation.

One nominated partner/support person is allowed for Maternity (allowed at all times, person not interchangeable).
Where possible, we recommend that partners stay and do not leave the hospital. (Partners who do stay can order meals free of charge.)
All visitors aged 8 years and older are required to wear a mask in designated patient care and ward areas.
Visiting Hours
- Maternity Visiting Hours 2-4 pm, rest period, then 7-8pm.
To facilitate a calm and healing environment for our patients, we recommend a limit of 2 visitors in the patients room at a time.
Parking and directions
You will find parking in a convenient multi-storey car park located immediately behind the hospital in Fitzroy Street. Hourly rates apply and the automated ticket machine takes cash or credit cards.
Public transport
By train: Take a train to Parliament Station. We are a short walk away.
By tram: Take these trams to the stop outside the hospital (St Vincents Plaza):
