Birth Beat is an alternative to our face-to-face classes with content created specifically for maternity patients at the Mater Hospital.

Birth Beat was developed by registered nurse and midwife Edwina Sharrock who has over 14 years of experience as a midwife and neonatal intensive care nurse. The digital course provides practical, evidence-based information to help you prepare for labour, birth and early parenthood. Your access to the Birth Beat Antenatal Program provides you with video content that’s available for 12 months.

The full course cost is $347 for Mater patients (the course normally retails for $397). If you have private health care, your fund may provide a full or partial rebate (depending on your fund and level of cover).
